Explorers against Extinction (EAE) is a wildlife conservation campaign organised by registered UK charity the Real World Conservation Trust (Reg No 1177505).

The primary aims of the campaign are to raise awareness about the threats facing the world’s most iconic species and their habitats while also raising significant funds for nominated projects pivotal in the battle to protect them.

Sketch for Survival is one of EAE's main fund-raising campaigns - a touring wildlife art exhibition and sale of artwork. There are two different elements to Sketch for Survival: we have an Invitational Sketch for Survival collection and a free-to-enter COMPETITION, SFS Introducing.

This year the Sketch for Survival 2019 collection will tour the UK in the autumn, visiting five different venues and finishing at the Royal Geographical Society in London. The 175 piece core collection will be sold in an online auction concluding on Sunday 17th November 2019. The rest is sold via our Online Gallery.

All the artwork in our core Sketch for Survival collection is donated by professional and award-winning artists on an invitational basis. These are joined by sketches and other artworks donated by our celebrity and explorer supporters.

An additional 100 artworks will be selected by an expert panel of wildlife artists from our new SFS Introducing free-to-enter art competition. The competition is open to all artists – professional, amateur, hobby or student. Please see SFS Introducing for details of the submission process and the awards.

This year, for the first time, the Sketch collection will be joined on tour by Focus for Survival, a collection of wildlife photography donated by leading wildlife photographers and celebrity supporters.
